FORUM Credit Union is pleased to announce that the FORUM Foundation has awarded $24,938 to 18 educators throughout central Indiana for the 2019-2020 school year.
The Foundation was established in 2014 to strengthen the communities FORUM serves by enhancing educational opportunities through both collegiate scholarships and educator grants. Grants may be used for any direct classroom expenses, including, but not limited to, supplies needed to fund a project for the classroom, basic supplies the classroom may be lacking, supplemental items to enhance classroom learning, or an experience to enhance classroom learning.
Since 2014, the FORUM Foundation has awarded over $150,000 in grants to more than 80 schools throughout central Indiana, helping nearly 30,000 students. This year, the Foundation received applications from 126 educators requesting over $200,000 for educational tools from several disciplines including STEM, literacy, art, music, and physical education.
